1. Re: More than one request at one click in rich:datascroller
ilya_shaikovsky Jun 25, 2010 8:12 AM (in response to tojikgeorge)and this will be valid for basic tables and inputs components from JSF without any richfaces. No logic normally should be placed into properties getters because this methods called several times during JSF lifecycle. For example input gets value at apply request phase in order to get previous value to rise ChangeEvent and then at render phase to get newly applied value.

Thanks for the response. But more than one time database call will run for one request. So how I can reduce this??

ilya_shaikovsky Jun 30, 2010 8:08 AM (in response to tojikgeorge)by do not just performining operations of getting data from DB from your getters directly but make some initialization in bean and further getting of already fetched data. For more advanced model impls - check livedemo samples (extendedDataModel or ModifiableModel)

One of examples referred by Ilya can be checked here: http://livedemo.exadel.com/richfaces-demo/richfaces/dataTable.jsf?tab=modifiableDataModel&cid=114436
Livedemo is available for checkout from SVN: http://anonsvn.jboss.org/repos/richfaces/branches/community/3.3.X/samples/richfaces-demo/

6. Re: More than one request at one click in rich:datascroller
tojikgeorge Jul 6, 2010 9:01 AM (in response to tojikgeorge)Thanks to Ilya and Nick…. Now I can run the using SerializableDataModel
Now I am facing other problem. I have created a super class for bean class and which extends from SerializableDataModel, But the method walk is not working.Because of this datatable doesnot have any data.
If I am extending SerializableDataModel directly to my bean class then all are fine. So can you give me a solution for this?
