How to sort rich:dataTable in single page?

Hi,

I need to sort only single page content. Not whole datatable.

I  refer lichFaces live demo. http://livedemo.exadel.com/richfaces-demo/richfaces/sortingFeature.jsf?tab=usage&cid=21543.

This example describe,

The datable table contains 50 rows. And each page contains (show) only 15 rows.

If i click aescending or descending, then sort the 50 rows.

But i want to sort just 15 records only.

It Means,

Suppose i am seeing first 15 rows, now i click ascending or descending, then i need sort first 15 rows only. Not whole 50 (full datatable).

Similarly i am seeing 16-30 rows,   now i click ascending or descending, then i need sort 16-30 rows only. Not whole 50.  

In last page have 5 rows only. That time i click ascending or descending, then i need to sort just 5 records only(45-50) rows.

Help me.

Seems you need to implement modifiableModel instead of passing jusdt list to table (which is automatically wrapped to our model and working with the whole list) http://livedemo.exadel.com/richfaces-demo/richfaces/dataTable.jsf?tab=modifiableDataModel&cid=27779

This example asle sort full dataTable. But I need to sort single page content. not whole datatable.

I am not clear for, relation between my requirement and this url.

This example intended to show how to use Modifiable model in order to load data only for current page and perform sorting and filtering of that data. So seems it's what you need. Checkout sources and check.
