jboss.system:type=ServerInfo metrics are not displayed in RHQ

Hi,

I have following environments:

OS: Ubuntu Linux

JBoss: 4.2.3

Apache: 2.2.15

RHQ 3

DB: Oracle 10g

RHQ displays all "jboss.system:type=ServerInfo" metrics as zero (except ActiveThreadGroupCount and FreeMemory. But FreeMemory value is also NOT matching with JBoss JMX console value).

I have done the setup as mentioned in below link but of no use.

That sounds like to me that the agent is monitoring something different than what you think you are monitoring. Do you have more than one JBossAS server instance running on that box? Are you monitoring more than one?

We've not had any reports that the jboss-plugin reports back bad or missing data. Its usually due to misconfiguration of the collection interval of the metric in question or the plugin configuration  to a different resource (e.g. the JNP URL is wrong).

There is only one JBossAs instance.

The jnp URL is pointing to 127.0.0.1:1099 .In the "connection" tab, it shows the JBoss instance which I want to monitor.

I have checked "jboss-service.xml" of JBossAs and found its 1099 only.

Also, I have tried changing the IP (127.0.0.1) with DNS name "ssroy.com:1099".

The collection interval is set to : 30s

But nothing seems working.

Check your Agent log for errors relating to these metrics. Also, make sure all of the metrics are enabled on the AS Server Resource's Monitor > Schedules subtab.
