There's no need to use tags - they are intended for JSP. Use application.createComponent(...) instead.

i didn't want to use tags..i didn't even know them before (same for jsp)
i just couldn't find the right elements to generate a4j:status and its facet :-/
the application.createComponent(...) is certainly useful, but which components to create? that's where i'm lost.
i can use all the other components like a4j:commandlinks(HtmlAjaxCommandLink) but this one i cannot get work.
