Im using oracle as the database, currently we are using hibernate to do it which is performaing veryd badly.
XML to relational extraction in Teiid is provided by SQL/XML functions. See XMLTABLE http://docs.jboss.org/teiid/7.1.0.Final/reference/en-US/html_single/#xmltable (and XMLQUERY) as the primary functions for manipulating XML. See https://community.jboss.org/wiki/ConvertXMLdataintoRelationalTabledatausingTeiid for more on using XMLQUERY.
Persistance to Oracle could then be through INSERTs with a query expression containing the XMLQUERY results - INSERT INTO FOO SELECT x, y FROM XMLTABLE ...
If the persistance scenario is more complicated, then you could use a Teiid virtual procedure.
Much of what is in the article/docs still apply in Designer. For 7.1 though, Designer should be able to generate procedures for you that contain the relevant XMLQUERY extraction operations. I'm not sure if there is an article on this, but it should be covered in the Designer docs.
I'm also not sure what is going on with the dialog you're getting, can you open a JIRA against https://jira.jboss.org/browse/TEIIDDES?
Please let me know if you have any examples of inserting data thats coming from Relational View.
I created BeamDataView.xmi Rleational View which has my data in relational format i converted from XML,i want it to be persisted to database.
1)beam-ds.xml-data source poiting to XML containing Spot Beam data(satellite date)
2)BeamView.vdb- my virtual database for Beams
3)BeamData.xmi- which contains getTextFiles stored proc.
4)BeamDataView -view thats transforms XML to Relational format.
BeamView.vdb contains BeamData and BeamDataView.
I think you missed this line from above
INSERT INTO FOO SELECT x, y FROM XMLTABLE ...
Can you export the ConnectionProfile that you are trying to bind to that's causing the "No ConnectionInoProvider resolved" issue and attach the XML? I've never seen that happen.
