Defense of use of Properties and Attachments in Esb Message ??

i have read in the document of SOA Platform Programmers-guide that the use of Properties and Attachments in JBossesb Message is discourgaed.

Is this the same by JBossesb 4.8 or 4.9?

We use attachments and properties. This is a good question that we also had when we started with this. We ended up using them. Even if we didn't get an answer on the same question.
