1. Re: org.jboss.deployment.DeploymentException: No Attribute found with name: PolicyConfigurationFacadeMBean for jboss.jacc:service=jacc
glyph5 May 11, 2010 11:40 AM (in response to glyph5)Just to reply to my original thread, I found a fix to my nested ears issue but it is not ideal.
Basically speaking, I had to just remove the nested.ear files and just deploy the .war files that were contained within (I know this is an unorthodox method of doing this) and modify the application.xml file in the root .ear.
If anyone has any insight on why this (.ear/.ear/.war) structure no longer works in JBoss 5+ I would still appreciate it. Thank you.

jaikiran May 11, 2010 11:45 AM (in response to glyph5)So you have an .ear file within another .ear file? I haven't heard of that packaging before. Any idea why it's packaged in that fashion?

glyph5 May 11, 2010 3:07 PM (in response to jaikiran)I am not sure of the exact reason, as it is 3rd party code. I believe it might have something to do with the possiblity of duplicate-named .war files within the .ear file. That is one condition that the fix above does not account for.

glyph5 Nov 11, 2010 8:50 AM (in response to laures)The fix that I used for this specific issue was to re-package the .ear file to use the .war files contained within the .ear file within.
Not sure if this helps, you might want to start a new thread.

aartir Mar 29, 2012 1:38 PM (in response to glyph5)i had similar issue while moving to jboss 5.1.2 from 4.2.2... so here we were using ejb3 and there was blank ejb-jar.xml in the root of the ejb jar . i removed that and it fixed the problem. So this time it was not jboss.xml in root but ejb-jar.xml
