How do I make the reRender parameter of a4j:commandLink perform before an onclick event?

Hey,

As the subect f the topic says, I'm trying to force the reRender parameter of a4j:commandLink perform before an onclick event?

The onclick event shows a rich:modalPanel and the reRender atribute is used to rerender some components inside of the modal panel. Currently first the panel displays the old information for a fraction of a second, then it displays the information modified due to the reRender atribute.

What I usually do in this situation is use a

{code:xml}<a4j:support event="onclick" reRender="modalPanelId" oncomplete="#{rich:component('modalPanelId')}.show()"/>{code}

That way, your modalpanel gets shown when it has already been rerendered.
