(I don't know it hepls or not but I alway use the latest stable library verion in order not to face already fixed bugs)

rlperry Aug 2, 2011 6:20 PM (in response to eswaramoorthy1985)I think I found this one. Not a Richfaces issue IMHO but I will leave that to others to sort out. It turns out that line 173 char 97 is trying to set focus. Reading http://www.mkyong.com/javascript/focus-is-not-working-in-ie-solution/ I get the impressioin that can be a problem in regard to timing of the focus in relation to the rendering of the control. In my case I was giving focus with an a:support to a control I did not want to get focus after the ajax call anyway. It might also be worth noting that the control that I was giving to was a a4jcommandButton. Now it is a h:selectOneMenu. Both controls were being rerendered by the a4j. I do not know why one works and the other fails. I don't really doubt that it could be timing and someday the newer version of the code will fail as well.
