Deploying .war in JBoss AS 6.0.0.Final

Hello,

I copied a .war file (primefaces-showcase.war) to the server/default/deploy/ directory, but the deployment does not start.

I have confirmed the jboss service is started up by navigating to its webpage, eg. localhost:8080/

Enviornment:

Jboss 6.00 final, JDK 1.6, Linux

What command did you use to start the server? And what exactly does "deployment does not start" mean? Do you see any errors or exception stacktrace?

When I start the server, I simply executed ./run.sh <enter>

"deployment does not start" means there is no message comes up in the trace, no exception...

When I executed run.sh, the server start up messages are shown on the console.

When I copy the .war file to the server/default/deploy/ folder, no more messages shown.

I don't know what I am doing wrong.

Do you know to what context that .war gets deployed? What happens when you access http://localhost:8080/primefaces-showcase
