Use chrome frame with IE6/8 for Richfaces components

Hi,

Please advise if chrome frame can be used with richfaces jsf web applications on IE6/8.

I have done the following:

1 )Installed Chrome frame

2) Add the following to a xhtml under the ui:composition

<meta http-equiv="X-UA-Compatible" content="chrome=1"/>

The above did not work. I also tried switching the following Richfaces config to NONE:

org.richfaces.LoadStyleStrategy

org.richfaces.LoadScriptStrategy

This did not work either.

Any help would be appreciated.

Hi Bal,

Two things to check:

1) Are you using the latest RichFaces version?
2) Is META tag being rendered in the correct place according to DTD?

This was fixed by downloading chrome frame and adding <meta http-equiv="X-UA-Compatible" content="chrome=1"/> inside the <head> tag.
