how to disable HA JNDI for specific EJB service on jboss 4.0.3sp1

Hello,

I have a test bed which has 2 server running application based on jboss4.0.3sp1, HA-JNDI is configured on these 2 server.

for some reason, the jboss need to be shutdown on one node, it caused some unexpected error for one specific EJB service of this application , if i stop "service=HAJNDI" from jboss jmx-console, the EJB service will be ok. so i wondered how to disable HA JNDI for specific EJB service on jboss?

i tried to remove HA JDNI definition in deploy/cluster-service.xml, but because 2 servers are configured as one cluster, it will cause application start-up with many errors. any idea?

Normally the server will remove the application from HA-JNDI view if you shutdown.

It should work if you do not use UserTransactions.

Removing HA-JNDI is not a good idea in a clusterd environment.

What kind of errors do you see?

my error is not directly with HA-JNDI, and finally i found my application has internal logic error about this service, so i have not continue to check how to shutdown HA-JNDI under a cluster environment. and as you said, it is not a good and reasonable idea.
