Using rich:jQuery to enable a command button

Hi,

Need help in using rich:jQuery as i am new to RichFaces.

I need to enable a button (id="btnDone") on click of a button Confirm (id="btnConfirm") using jquery. Kindly let me know how to do this.

if you have button disabled initially at server side using disabled="#{someControllerProperty}" just client side enablement will not works in JSF as in component tree it will be still disabled(actions will not be fired on clicking)

look into http://livedemo.exadel.com/richfaces-demo/richfaces/keepAlive.jsf;jsessionid=859241F7F0A8DFFA51DD147F1D7805AB?c=keepAlive&tab=usage for the details. Pay attention not to just keep alive (session scoped could be used instead) but to the source of the problem. That will affect your case also if you will enable some control using just JS.

So use ajax request for such cases.
