Expand rich:panelMenuGroup using Javascript

Please I am trying to expand

<rich:panelMenuGroup  label="Test" id="test">

                                                     <rich:panelMenuItem label="rtest"></rich:panelMenuItem>

                                                               <rich:panelMenuItem label="Three"></rich:panelMenuItem>

                                           </rich:panelMenuGroup>

using Javascript, but can't really figure it out

I'm not sure if it works but you can try the following call:

#{rich:component(‘test’)}.expand();

(I'm not sure that it does have expand method)
