ilya_shaikovsky Jun 19, 2009 7:12 AM (in response to nimo22)http://livedemo.exadel.com/richfaces-demo/richfaces/fileUpload.jsf within the demosite environment you can't add more files than specified on the client side in both flash and non flash modes.
So seems you using older version. If you using latest one - provide your code. -
3. Re: fileUpload and maxFileSize does not prevent from upload
nimo22 Jun 19, 2009 10:57 AM (in response to nimo22)hey ilya,
you can't add more files
I did not meant the number of files, I meant the maximum allowed size of a file:<init-param> <param-name>createTempFiles</param-name> <param-value>true</param-value> </init-param> <init-param> <param-name>maxRequestSize</param-name> <param-value>10000</param-value> </init-param>
At the moment, rich:fileUpload uploads also the files which exceeds the allowed maxFileSize (into temp-folder).
After uploading into temp-folder, the bean looks, if the file size exceeds the maxFileSize defined in web.xml.
If so, then sizeErrorLabel occurs and the file will not be stored into UploadItems.
Would be nicer, to avoid the fileupload of such files from the beginning . -

nimo22 Jun 19, 2009 11:01 AM (in response to nimo22)I do not mean the maxFilesQuantity, I mean maxFileSize(=maxRequestSize).

ilya_shaikovsky Jun 22, 2009 5:27 AM (in response to nimo22)Sorry.. got it.. but this is just browser related question. we do not know the size of file in non-flash mode.

6. Re: fileUpload and maxFileSize does not prevent from upload
nimo22 Jun 22, 2009 6:22 AM (in response to nimo22)Oh, but you know the size of file when flashMode is enabled.
Imagine I have flashMode enabled, then it would be nice to avoid the fileUpload from beginning when maxRequestSize exceeds. So this can integrated only for flashMode enabled. I create a issue.. -

ilya_shaikovsky Jun 22, 2009 6:35 AM (in response to nimo22)yes.. feel free to submit RFC for flash mode.
