1. IE9 Support in RF4
lfryc Apr 19, 2011 4:39 AM (in response to sparrowhawk)Hello David,
We would be definitely pleased when you provide us compatibility feedback.
IE9 is definitely supported browser,
but it doesn't mean RF 4.0.0.Final is fully compatible with IE9 since we started Final release before official release of IE9.
We will address compatibility issues in following releases.

2. IE9 Support in RF4
ilya_shaikovsky Apr 19, 2011 5:07 AM (in response to sparrowhawk)1 of 1 people found this helpfulIE9 is supported for sure. B.t.w. most of the problems in final was related to Mojara script issue, https://issues.jboss.org/browse/RF-10770.
If you believe that found something new (can't see across opened issues to 4.x) - feel free to report for sure!

3. IE9 Support in RF4
sparrowhawk Apr 19, 2011 9:21 AM (in response to ilya_shaikovsky)Yeah. Most of the issues I was having were with re-rendering richfaces components using f:ajax in IE9. After updating to mojarra 2.1.1-b04 everything seems to work as expected.

4. IE9 Support in RF4
pawelf Apr 27, 2011 6:22 AM (in response to sparrowhawk)Is it checked solution, if so why showcase does not work on IE9?
http://richfaces-showcase.appspot.com/richfaces/component-sample.jsf?demo=dragDrop&skin=blueSky
Please confirm cause swithing to RF4 (including seam and mojarra) requires a lot of effort and I am not sure that will work.
Thanks,
Pawel

5. IE9 Support in RF4
ilya_shaikovsky Apr 27, 2011 9:54 AM (in response to pawelf)As you see it's working. And we will pay great attention to moder browsers released support for sure.
Yeah. Most of the issues I was having were with re-rendering richfaces components using f:ajax in IE9. After updating to mojarra 2.1.1-b04 everything seems to work as expected.
And about
Is it checked solution, if so why showcase does not work on IE9?

Because it's just not updated to newer JSF version. We encountered some problems with compatibility of the GAE and newer JSF 2 releases. So if you not working with it - just go on with latest build for JSF and RF and enjoy

6. IE9 Support in RF4
pawelf May 9, 2011 7:17 AM (in response to ilya_shaikovsky)Bad news, it does not work on IE9 after upgraded richfaces samples to latest mojarra (2.1.1-b04 i guess).
I verified this on richfaces showcase from 4.0 version, steps i took:
1. I downloaded RF from http://downloads.jboss.org/richfaces/releases/4.0.X/4.0.0.Final/richfaces-4.0.0.Final.zip
2. I build richfaces-showcase.war based on info from http://community.jboss.org/wiki/HowToWorkWithRichFaces4xExamplesSources
3. I deployed richfaces-showcase.war to mine tomcat (7.0), the samples started up and worked fine (except IE9)
4. I downloaded Mojarra from http://java.net/projects/javaserverfaces/downloads/download/release%252Fmojarra-2.1.1-FCS-binary.zip
5. I removed richfaces-showcase\WEB-INF\lib\jsf-api-2.0.4-b09.jar and richfaces-showcase\WEB-INF\lib\jsf-impl-2.0.4-b09.jar
6. I pasted mojarra-2.1.1-FCS\lib\jsf-impl.jar and mojarra-2.1.1-FCS\lib\jsf-api.jar to richfaces-showcase\WEB-INF\lib\
7. I deletd even tomcat\work directory
8. I started up tomcat and it still does not work!
1. http://host:port/richfaces-showcase/richfaces/component-sample.jsf?demo=dataScroller&skin=blueSky - scroller does not work
2. http://host:port/richfaces-showcase/richfaces/component-sample.jsf?demo=dragDrop&skin=blueSky - drag n drop does not work (drop area is empty all the time).
Please let me know what i am doing wrong, or give some timeframe when i may expect those issue to be fixed.
As i mentioned in my previous post migrating to RF 4.0 (+ everything that is required by this update) is a huge effort for mine company, and that is why i have to be sure that it is worth it.
