manik Jun 23, 2011 11:03 AM (in response to jramsdale)Infinispan uses JBoss Logging. A related thread: http://community.jboss.org/thread/164417
This too may help: https://issues.jboss.org/browse/JBAS-5519

3. Re: Logging to slf4j
jramsdale Jul 27, 2011 1:04 PM (in response to galder.zamarreno)The wiki's not quite accurate in its log manager selection algorithm due to changes in JBLOGGING-65. Slf4j reimplements several Log4j classes in order to serve as an adapter. This means the existance of the Log4j LogManager class in the classpath is not indicative of actual Log4j use. See: https://github.com/jboss-logging/jboss-logging/commit/decf532f405fd77e159db5248aed928d4aafdcd7
Also, I don't think it's technically correct to say Infinispan logs to Slf4j. Rather, it logs to Logback.
Come to think of it, I'm uncertain whether Infinispan has revved its jboss-logging dependency to pick up this change, but it's an important one. Could someone take a look?

pmuir Jul 28, 2011 6:24 AM (in response to jramsdale)I've updated Galder's FAQ with James' feedback.
JBLOGGING-65 is fixed in JBoss Logging 3.0.0.GA, and (at least) Infinispan 5.0.0.FINAL includes this version.
