Site Publisher : content search by permission

    ndrw_cheung

Hi, all. I hope this is the right place to post my question regarding Site Publisher (If there is another location that is more appropriate, please let me know.). I am running EPP5.1 with Site Publisher. I can set permissions for different groups to read the contents entered into Site Publisher through Content Explorer (e.g. Group A can only read article article 1 (which contains the word "soccer") and Group B can only read article 2 (which contains the word "hockey")). However, I would like to be able to search the contents (using an instance of the Site Search box webcontent) based on permissions.

For example, John is a member of Group A and hence he can see article 1 when logged in. Mary is a member of Group B and hence she can see article 2 when logged in. What I would like is that when John searches for the word "hockey" in the search box, it comes back with no results (because John does not have rights to read article 2). Similarly, when Mary searches for the word "soccer", it comes back with no results.

However, when John searches for the word "soccer", article 1 will show up in the search results. Similarly, when Mary searches for the word "hockey", article 2 will show up in the search results.

I searched the user guide for Site Publisher but couldn't find any instructions on how to do this, or if this is even possible.

      Any feedback is appreciated.
