I started jboss 1.6, but i can't see the main page in a browser

Hi guys, when I start or stop my jboss server, I don't have problems, but when Jboss is started, I can't see the main page in a browser, I tried in 80 and 443 ports.

Anyone can help me???

"jboss 1.6"? There is no such release. Do you mean JBoss AS 6.0.0?

By default, Jboss AS opens porst 8080 and 8433 for HTTP access. Did you change those port assignments?

Also, it might help to know the full URL - only localhost works by default.

Peter, sorry, but I mean to the jboss-6.1.0.Final.

Jboss was install for another person, I only start and stop the service. But just 5 minutes ago, I tried with those ports, and still don't work.

I'm using the machine IP server as URL, from my computer. http://123.123.123.123:8080, I can't write the real IP address.

I have other questions:

1.- Where can I change the default ports?

2.- Where can I change the default localhost reach?

As I mentioned in my first post, only localhost is enabled by default. Thus you must use http://localhost:8080. Try that and see if ti works.

But my jboss is installed in a linux server, and I need call it from a windows PC

As  Peter Johnson still linked,

The FAQ describe that you have to start with 'run.sh -b IP' where IP is 0.0.0.0 (all interfaces) or 123.123.123.123 (the IP address of your system).

Then you should be able to access http://<IP>:8080 from any Web browser. There is no difference whether it is Windows, Mac or Unix.

To change the port 8080 to 80 (if you want) see the instructions of BindingManager.
