Column merging in ExtendedDataTable

Hai everyone

In my application there is extendedDataTable in which i need to have column merging.

some cells will be merged in different rows depending upon the condition..

is this property can be done with extendedDataTable.

extendedDataTable not supports row/cols spanning. Only rich:dataTable allows this.
