JBoss 7.1.0.Beta1 (Tesla) is already accepting JNDI lookups from standalone apps?

I know that 7.0.2.Final (Arc) does not accept JNDI lookups from standalone applications (1099 port is not even opened)

this is already implemented on 7.1.0.Beta1 (Tesla)?

I really need this =)

What kind of JNDI lookups are you going to do from the remote client? EJBs?

I have a Swing application and I want to make JNDI lookups on JBoss (both on the same machine)

another situation:

my Arquillian tests are not working (still struggle with)... I want my unit tests to connect via JNDI on JBoss using a Service Locator

and all my EJBs deployed on JBoss are @Local

for the swing app you need @Remote, i don't know arquillian so i cannot answer but i suspect you don't lookup locally to the application server.. so... i think a remote access will fix your tests
