Get folder path + filename from rich:fileUpload

Is there a way to extract the folder path and filename of the selected file from the rich:fileUpload control? Thanks.

UploadItem item = event.getUploadItem();
item.getFileName()

could be used in listener as at richfaces-demo.
the only problem that different browsers adds different information. Some provides full path to file and some inly fileName. And we could not override that.

Thank you, Ilya. Is it possible to use a client-side solution with JavaScript to get the value or will I run into the same cross-browser issue with the path?
