Hi,

You can use ontabchange attribute to track tab switching.

I use this method to track my changes (it works, too, when the page is refreshed):

function tabChanged()
 {
 if(RichFaces.isTabActive('#{rich:clientId('myFirstTab')}_lbl'))
 {
 disembedSearchPanel();
 }
 else if(RichFaces.isTabActive('#{rich:clientId('mySecondTab')}_lbl'))
 {
 embedSearchPanel();
 }
 }

I admit, its quite a hack, but it does what I need.
