csrinaldi Aug 12, 2009 12:45 PM (in response to csrinaldi)Thanks for your reply.
Actually i see that there is a advance in the issues resolved, and I need to evaluate the use of webbeans for a project. Just for this reason i wanted to know if a date was set for the CR1.
Again thank you very much -

pmuir Aug 13, 2009 11:40 PM (in response to csrinaldi)We will release the next release (preview 3) early next week. It will be included in the next GlassFish milestone build. I believe Roger now has servlet injection working. You will probably also see EJB support for CDI in the next GF milestone.

5. Re: Release Candidate Date
hmo Aug 14, 2009 4:18 PM (in response to csrinaldi)Pete, can we expect new examples for this new release? Let's say a least one (complete) showing the use of @PersistenceContext stuff with conversations in web beans.

csrinaldi Aug 14, 2009 6:28 PM (in response to csrinaldi)Thanks a lot, Pete.
We expect the preview3.
One question I have is the following:
Is it possible to inject a EntityListener as webbeans?
This relates to the need to fire events from EntityListener.
Will we have any examples of that in the preview3?I congratulate the development team webbeans.
Very good job.
Greetings -
7. Re: Release Candidate Date
pmuir Aug 18, 2009 11:32 PM (in response to csrinaldi)No new examples planned for this release. Watch out for some work on Seam 3, which will include full examples.
No, an entity listener is not a Java EE managed component class. But file a feature request in WBX, and attach a prototype for Hibernate, and we'll consider adding it.

10. Re: Release Candidate Date
pmuir Sep 1, 2009 11:38 PM (in response to csrinaldi)Preview3 is simply a dated-snapshot made available for GlassFish builds. I recommend waiting for CR1, coming in the next couple of weeks.

asookazian Oct 6, 2009 5:36 PM (in response to csrinaldi)status on CR1 release? what about JBoss 6? Is that the EE 6 app server for JBoss and will it be recommended for running Weld (CR1) on?

12. Re: Release Candidate Date
pmuir Oct 7, 2009 1:41 PM (in response to csrinaldi)The CR1 release should be out early next week, and integrated in JBoss 5.2 and JBoss 6 branches.
JBoss 5.2 is our
EE 6 preview
release, and will contain techs like: JPA2, JSF2, Bean Validaiton, CDI, EJB 3.1, JAX-RS. We plan to release a JBoss 5.2 alpha fairly soon (orignal plan was mid-Oct, but it is slipping a bit). Once I get a date from Jason Greene, I will blog about it! -
