Although I have a hard time understanding the stance of IBM. First people specify a Mercedes. Then someone is dissatisfied with the color and creates the specs for a Wartburg. Then IBM thinks the two should be welded (no pun intended) together. Then they complain that the aesthetic problems of having a Wart hanging on a Mercedes hasn't been solved. No $hit, Sherlock?

And the voting process should add another option, B4B (Bad for Business) so SpringSource would finally be able to vote! ;-) Or perhaps they have forgot the password? Nah, they remembered to vote for 330...

Does it still pass even with IBM's no vote?

Yes, it's majority voting so no problem, just some general ranting on their vote ;-)

As long as it passes and 299 is injected into the SE/EE communities, isn't that good enough for the 1st round?

But if 299/CDI supports SE and EE, then why is there a need for 330?

AFAIKT because the Spring guys did not like 299, so they created they own... politics and economics, the 2 forces that truly shape software: engineering is nothing when compared to them... ;-)
