1. Re: CDI and JBoss guys at TSS Symposium 2010?
asookazian Dec 22, 2009 7:01 PM (in response to asookazian)btw, we are using Glassfish, JBoss, Websphere as well as using both Spring 2.x and Seam 2.x in our current technology stack here at Intuit. I have made the architecture team aware of the discontinuation of JBoss 5.x and replacement with JBoss 6.x as well as trying to push EE6 as we are currently using EE5 in many current projects. The response I got was that it will take some time to see how/what EE6 delivers and possible late adoption which is normal for a large company like Intuit.
It's interesting that most architects, like ours, are not familiar with the EE6 web profile but it sounds like it may be a possibility if there is a certain need (i.e. functionality, performance gains, productivity concerns, etc.) that we don't have in our current stack.

gavin.king Dec 27, 2009 3:05 AM (in response to asookazian)I personally stopped doing TSS a few years ago. (Didn't see to be worth the effort.) I don't think any of the other JBoss folks have been interested in going either.

3. Re: CDI and JBoss guys at TSS Symposium 2010?
asookazian Dec 28, 2009 5:15 PM (in response to asookazian)So what conferences are worth going to in your opinion (I have only attended JavaOne in 2003)? I noticed that TSS does not have any hands-on lab sessions like JavaOne did. I know you will say JBoss World 2010 in Boston of course but that's too far and Boston is too boring...
I'd like to see the JBoss guys in person for once :)
But I'd also love to gang up on the Spring camp @ TSS!
