so it must not be that important. thx anyways.IMO it's one of the most important dependency management concepts in Maven, the ability to define dependency management info via composition, not inheritance.
But you are free to believe what you want.

Anyways, I respect you and your team's opinions so I'll research it.
Maven 2 and m2eclipse is totally kicking my ass man (much like Seam/EE5, big learning curve). Didn't have such a hard time with Ant but Maven is more interesting and powerful. I really wish there was an alternative build system in the works. Much like hg and git are popular DVCS alternatives to svn now...
