Show only ERROR messages

How can I show only the messages that has ERROR severity in the view?

If you are using Richfaces, then you could
use the messages with a level attribute.

The docs say that level is a comma-separated list of messages categories which should be displayed.

Otherwise you could do a ui:repeat or ui:datatable and only render the FacesMessage if the severity matches the error level.  See Facesmessages.getCurrentMessages
