Custom DeploymentHandler

I extended AbstractDeploymentHandler and added seam-scanners.properties to my.jar/META-INF/ folder.
That's all to get my handler invoked from within Seam initialization process.

But I'm wondering is it supposed to be supported in further versions of Seam? If so it should be documented.

When could we expect 2.1 BETA? (Or where that sort of information is? Some time ago I used to consult jira roadmap).
