Apparently JRockIt does a much better job of memory management than Sun JDK. It's understandable, since JRockIt was designed from the ground-up for server deployments.
Not really. The SUN VM just has separate memory areas for loaded classes (byte code) and for memory allocated by the application (heap).
So with JRockIt you simply won't notice the memory leak until after maybe ten or hundred times the number of deployments, because the main memory area that holds the garbage is much larger.
that right
Here is a link to BEA JRockit downloads.
I got this off the BEA forums, but the post was deleted.
Does anyone know what is the deal with BEA, JRockit and Oracle?
I agree JRockit is better that Sun JVM. I never have memory problems in development of production. I can redeploy my ear as many times as I want.
Here is a link to the thread that describes BEA support being requested to delete this link from their forums and being told that they cannot comment as to why.
I am downloading my own copy of every version in case the try some rude shit.
