Problem opening the suggestion box when clicking inside the

I am having problems opening the suggestion box when clicking inside the inputText without entering any chars.
I have tried to set the minChars property to 0 or a negative value but without any luck.

I am not sure how to trigger the opening of the suggestion box without pressing keys inside the inputText.

Is it possible? Has anyone did this ?

That was what I was looking for. Thanks.

But I encountered another issue.
I am using jQuery to trigger a click event in the inputText (when some radio button is selected) and I am using what you suggested to open the suggestion box.
#{rich:component('autocompleteUserInputSuggestion')}.callSuggestion(true);

The problem is that when clicking the radion button first (without first clicking the inputText) I am getting a JS error:
document.getElementById("popup:autocompleteUserInputSuggestion").component is undefined

Is there something else I have to do ?
