rich:combobox and maxlength attribute?

Hi, i have to set the maxlength attribute to the inuput field of the rich:combobox. But i don't find this attribute in the rich:combobox-Tag.
Has anyone an idea, how i can achieve this?

yes, component currently does not support it at all. feel free to rise new RFC on that.
