How to redirect to absolute URL in an action?

Hi,

Normally, we return a viewId from an action. Instead, I want to redirect the user to an absolute URL on another domain. How can I do that in an action?

p.s. I only have the URL at runtime, not compile-time, so I cannot put the URL in pages.xml

If you are fine with doing it programatically there is a sendRedirect in the HttpServletResponse class.

FacesContext.getCurrentInstance().getExternalContext().redirect(url);
