How to show/hide <a4j:commandLink/>

Hi Guys,

I want to show or hide a <a4j:commandLink/> when an user clicks on another <a4j:commandLink/>

setting rendered is not working, i tried it by putting it to first link and iam satisfying the condition in the action of the secod Command Link
