Seam singleton pattern?

is there a Seam singleton pattern (e.g. session-scoped SFSB or JavaBean) and if so, where is it documented and how to implement a singleton component? thx.

Application scoped components are basically singletons. The only times when this is not really true is in a multi-war environemnt or in a cluster.

the word 'singleton' without defining a scope is meaningless. A single instance per application? Per JVM? Per cluster?

Use a component with @AutoCreate @Scope(ScopeType.SESSION) @Startup or @AutoCreate @Scope(ScopeType.APPLICATION) @Startup
