2.2.0.CR1 Wiki & PostgreSQL: pooled sequence problem

Hi,

I'm trying to deploy the wiki demo app of Seam 2.2.0.CR1 using postgres 8.3 and JBoss 4.2.3.
Following the Readme instructions for PostgreSQL (dev profile) I still get the following exception (after fixing the locale problem):

org.hibernate.MappingException: Dialect does not support pooled sequences

Where is the mistake?

You either have the wrong SQL dialect configured or you use the wrong identifier generator. Both files are mentioned in the README.

To eliminate other mistakes I now look directly at the deployed WAR.

There the persistence.xml has

 <property name="hibernate.dialect" value="org.hibernate.dialect.PostgreSQLDialect"/>

and package-info.class (bytecode reading) has

strategy = "sequence"

as it shoud be.

A solution is provided.

The problem exists in older versions of Seam too.
