monitor seam app for performance

how can i monitor a seam app, so i could see what there framework is doing and where potential bottlenecks are?

You could use something like JProfiler, JProbe or OptimizeIt I suppose.

One of the main performance problems with JSF/Seam is the rendered attribute in JSF tags and the getter methods in Seam backing bean components being called too many times (unnecessarily) due to the design of the JSF life cycle.
