Seam 2.2.1.CR1 is out

Today was released first candidate for patch version of Seam 2.2.1.CR1. This version was focused on bug fixing and enabling of running on JBoss AS 6 M2 with JSF 2.0.3.

After migrating from 2.2.0.GA to 2.2.1.CR1, the log messages are not getting translated properly. They appear as it is without any translation

e.g log.info(Authenticated user {0} successfully, username); the above string renders as Authenticated user {0} successfully without the username substitution. It was working fine in 2.2.0.GA, has anyone seen this problem.

What about running Seam 2.x app with JSF 2.x and JBoss 4.x or 5.x?  Is this possible?

I don't know, but why you need this strange mix of JEE 5 and 6 technologies?

I'm sure there are lots of projects that would like to preview JSF2 with Seam 2.x before migrating to EE 6 platform...

Hi Sean,

there will be 2.2.1.CR2 and if goes all well, it will be closely followed by GA.

Currently there are 19 issues. First these require to be solved.

An upgrade to wicket 1.4 would be very very useful for our projects.

There is an old issue in Jira concerning this, and the patch appears to be tiny.

I am willing to help with this small (but important (for us at least)) feature wherever possible.  What can we do to get this bumped?

I am afraid of currently is late for the features addition.

We are in process of CR1 and CR2 will have only bug fixing changes from CR1.

Using 2.2.1 CR1 with JSF 2 .we are having problems during postback. https://jira.jboss.org/browse/JBSEAM-4652

It seems during postback The restored UIViewRoot returns viewId to be null..

I tried it both in JBoss 6.0 M2 and Jboss 5.x.

And one more suggestion..The seam examples do not have an example with JSF 2.0.It will be a good starter for people like me to have such an example
