I'm trying to find the properties file where I can change the global messages.
e.g. after Login Welcome, username is displayed.

I don't exactly remember it that message is already in messages.properties or if you need to override it there.

But the key is this one:
org.jboss.seam.loginSuccessful

Just replace the value with what you want to display.
