2. Re: having pblm in deploying seam application in WAS 6 1
sivaengn Jun 1, 2010 11:06 AM (in response to sivaengn)Hi
My application.xml in the ear looks like this
- <application xmlns="http://java.sun.com/xml/ns/javaee>
<display-name>Seam Blog</display-name>
- <module>
- <web>
<web-uri>jboss-seam-blog.war</web-uri>
<context-root>/seam-blog</context-root>
</web>
</module>
- <module>
<ejb>jboss-seam-blog.jar</ejb>
</module>
- <module>
<java>jboss-seam.jar</java>
</module>
</application>
My query is it necessary to declare jboss-seam.jar as java module in the ear...
That is causing the problem..becoz this jar file doesn't have META-INF/application-client.xml ..
so it cant be declared as java module in the ear..but the build file supplied with the examples creates the ear with this jar as a module
Thanks -

My query is it necessary to declare jboss-seam.jar as java module in the earI've never declared it like this.
Try :
- removing jboss-seam.jar section from you application.xml jar.
- adding all seam and related jar in your war module (inside WEB-INF/lib directory).
We're using Seam 2.2.0.GA with Websphere 6.1, and it works fine for us.
Good luck !
