Is Seam 3 still active? Is it worth the effort to try an learn?

Is Seam 3 still active?  My first attempt at using Seam 3 has been bad.  I was able to add seam security and get the authenticator to work but can not figure out how to secure a directory and the documentation is very thin.

If you're stuck with JSF then Apache CODI for now will give you a good framework. If you can choose other frameworks, Play framework kills any other Java framework out there. No spring, no seam, just productive framework. Give it a shot.

Deltaspike is the merge of Seam3 and CODI, but it's still in incubator. Seam 3 has many good features in it. But the whole statefulness design behind JSF makes it unscalabale.
