1. Re: Jboss 7 with infinispan
nadirx Mar 22, 2012 12:02 PM (in response to alvinz)1 of 1 people found this helpfulAll of the caches defined in the default AS7 configuration are either for clustering (Servlet Sessions, SFSB) or for Hibernate caching (as in this case). The timestamps cache in particular is used to store timestamps of when a table was last written to. It has nothing to do with clustering.

galder.zamarreno Mar 23, 2012 8:11 AM (in response to alvinz)1 of 1 people found this helpfulWhy do you wanna change the config of timestamps cache? What makes you think that the performance issues you're having are rooted on that cache?

alvinz Mar 27, 2012 3:22 AM (in response to galder.zamarreno)Thanks Galder! How to say...you mean if I optimize cache I can ignore configuration of timestamps?thanks~~~

5. Re: Jboss 7 with infinispan
galder.zamarreno Mar 26, 2012 12:23 PM (in response to alvinz)Those timestamps are used to manage the query cache, so it's only relevant if your 2LC has query cache enabled.

galder.zamarreno Mar 28, 2012 5:04 AM (in response to alvinz)The role of the different caches is nicely explained in http://docs.jboss.org/jbossclustering/hibernate-caching/3.5/en-US/html/concepts.html#concepts-data-types

galder.zamarreno Apr 10, 2012 5:07 AM (in response to alvinz)I don't see a reason for you to touch the default timestamps configuration. Leave it as it is - IOW, no transactions, no eviction.
