    Upgrade to 7.1.0 final from 7.1.0 RC1B

      Hi,

My current application is running in two different environments, one with JBosss 7.1.0 Final (development end) and 7.1.0 CR1B (production environment) . At this point we are thinking of making these two environment similar for a better experience and stability. What i need to know is if we can go ahead and ask the client ( currentlty running with 7.1.0 CR1B specification) to upgrade to the 7.1.0 Final version. I want to make sure that once upgraded they should not be asked to downgrade to the older version for any reason. Can any one please advice on the same ?

Also can anyone please tell me is there a problem with Jboss 7.1.0 RC1B running with web.xml 3.0 version. We once upgraded the web.xml from 2.5 to 3.0 and faced few issues after deployment, however I am not sure if it was because of the version upgradation or the for something else in our code base.

I am really a newbie with Jboss and any help would be much appreciated.

      Thanks

A normal strategy for this would be to have a test environment that you would upgrade first. Preferably the test environment would be as close as possible to being a complete replica of production.

And then you test your application. That's really the only way to be sure that "they should not be asked to downgrade to the older version for any reason".

BTW, I recommend targeting JBoss 7.1.1 rather than 7.1.0.
