2. Re: Changing the messaging port causes a Remote Connection using Netty to fail
newway Apr 18, 2012 6:49 AM (in response to jbertram)This is my code:
final Map<String, Object> p = new HashMap<String, Object>(); p.put(TransportConstants.HOST_PROP_NAME, serverName); transportConfiguration = new TransportConfiguration(NettyConnectorFactory.class.getName(), p); connectionFactory = HornetQJMSClient.createConnectionFactoryWithoutHA( JMSFactoryType.QUEUE_CF, transportConfiguration); missionsQueue = HornetQJMSClient.createQueue(INCOMING_MISSIONS_QUEUE_NAME); queueConn = connectionFactory.createQueueConnection();
and this is where I get the error.
I'm using
-Djboss.bind.address=0.0.0.0 -Djboss.bind.address.management=0.0.0.0
to bind jboss to the machine name, but even if I remove the binding the same behaviour is presented

3. Re: Changing the messaging port causes a Remote Connection using Netty to fail
jbertram Apr 18, 2012 9:29 AM (in response to newway)Because you're not passing the port property to the TransportConfiguration it will use the default (i.e. 5445). If you change the server to not use the default then how do you expect the client to know where to connect? You need to pass the right properties to the TransportConfiguration, e.g.:
p.put(TransportConstants.HOST_PROP_NAME, serverName); p.put(TransportConstants.PORT_PROP_NAME, "5645"); transportConfiguration = new TransportConfiguration(NettyConnectorFactory.class.getName(), p);

newway Apr 18, 2012 9:46 AM (in response to jbertram)Thanks, I guess it was the late hour - because now i remember that when i first implemented this code I was wondering why the port isn't needed
