1. Re: Migration to RF 4.2.1 rich:tooltip behaviour
healeyb Apr 25, 2012 1:25 PM (in response to bthalmayr)I've got this one working using mode="client":
<aj4:commandButton id="cbutton2" value="CB2">
<rich:tooltip id="tt5" mode="client" target="cbutton2">
<span>tooltip5</span>
</rich:tooltip>
</a4j:commandButton>It does seem a bit dependent on the context whether or not the tooltip shows or not, I think I use
other variations elsewhere in the code....

Brendan.

2. Re: Migration to RF 4.2.1 rich:tooltip behaviour
bthalmayr Apr 25, 2012 2:29 PM (in response to healeyb)Thanks for the pointer Brendan, I'll give it a try. However according to the documentation (http://docs.jboss.org/richfaces/latest_4_X/vdldoc/index.html) 'client' should be the default.
I also do not understand why the value for 'mode' influences the behaviour in such a way.
In anycase this looks like a bug to me.

healeyb Apr 26, 2012 9:30 AM (in response to bthalmayr)Fair point, you're quite right it works the same without mode="client". I just read the component reference guide and nowhere
does it mention the default value for mode for tooltip.
