Start/Stop Queue Programmatically

Is is possible to start/stop a queue from delivering programatically.

I have a QueueControl object from the MBeanServer but there is no start/stop delivery method available on this object.

Is it possible to start a queue paused? Maybe with a config value in hornetq-configuration?
