Jboss cli unable to connect

I am having a strange problem with jboss cli, this is for Jboss 7.1 final,

Connecting remotely the first time seems to always fail, but if i keep trying it will work eventually.

Anyone had this problem before?

Are you sure the server has started when you issue the first connect attempt?

The server is started.

if i disconnect and try again it will have the same problem.
