at first, look to your page using some web debugging tool [1] and check which resources are loaded in the Resources tab.
You may want to observe in the Network tab if there are no issues with loading (errors).
Then check the server console if there is no warnings/errors.

2. Re: RichFaces, JSF2.0 and IBM Portlets: 'RichFaces' undefined
deckard82 Jun 4, 2012 4:53 AM (in response to lfryc)Hi Lukáš! Thank you.
I did what you recommended: I used Firebug to capture the HTTP requests and I saw that my main page was trying to get some javascript resources without success:
http://[host]:[port]/[AppName]/portlet/javax.faces.resource/richfaces.js ---> HTTP 500
Instead, other javascript resources were obtained with HTTP 200
http://[host]:[port]/[AppName]/faces/javax.faces.resource/jsf.js?ln=javax.faces
Then, I created and configured a Servlet in my application to redirect all those failed requests to the correct place. This servlet replacesin the URI the word 'portlet' with the word 'faces'.
http://[host]:[port]/[AppName]/faces/javax.faces.resource/richfaces.js
Is it a bug in RichFaces implementation? Did I forget configure something in my application?
Thanks.

ivan_ra Jun 4, 2012 5:19 AM (in response to deckard82)You have to use PortletBridge, without it all richfaces resources not visible in portlet context

ivan_ra Jun 4, 2012 5:31 AM (in response to ivan_ra)I mean JBoss PortletBridge, because it supports RichFaces, and ibm PortletBridge likely not

deckard82 Jun 4, 2012 6:07 AM (in response to ivan_ra)Which version of JBoss PortletBridge? I need a bridge that support JSF 2.0 and JSR-168 in WebSphere Portal. JBoss Portlet Bridge 3.0.0 is a Beta version. JBoss Portlet Bridge 2.3.0.Final doesn't support JSF 2.0
Thanks

ivan_ra Jun 4, 2012 6:17 AM (in response to deckard82)You need JBoss Portlet Bridge 3.0.0. Its Beta4, almost CR, but bad for you - oficially supports only GateIn portal. At least you can try it

deckard82 Jun 4, 2012 6:31 AM (in response to ivan_ra)Thanks Ivan!
I'll try it but only in my development environment. Until we can have the final version of JBoss Portlet Bridge 3.0.0. I will use my customized solution - servlet to redirect

lmk Jun 7, 2013 2:38 AM (in response to deckard82)Hi,
Any update on the above? Did someone managed to use Jboss portlet bridge on wps 7 or 8?
Do you have an example of the Redirect Servlet.
we are using websphere portlet bridge but it's not working fine. ajax Request and render don't work as expected. we have to add ajaxrendered for the whole form.
