distinct-name feature not working

I created a war file and deployed on two jboss instance 1 and jboss instance 2 and started server by passing different distinct-name as command line arguments.

On the client side : I have ejb-client.properties having the reference of two jboss instance but when I make a call to first jboss instance 1 which is on default port 4447 it works fine but when I make a call with another distinct name which is deployed on jboss instance 2....it fails...

What exact version do you use and how your client, serverconfig and code looks like?
