1. Re: when I was checking the datasource through admin console I am getting the unknown error for the data source
wdfink Jun 25, 2012 10:16 AM (in response to hari309965)Looks like an connection problem, could you describe what you are doing?
Do you can use it with a fresh AS7 instance and the ExampleDS?
Also you should post what version do you use.

2. Re: when I was checking the datasource through admin console I am getting the unknown error for the data source
hari309965 Jun 26, 2012 3:02 AM (in response to wdfink)I am using the jboss-as-7.1.1.Final. You can see the Image in that for the default datasource it is not getting any error. But whatever the datasources I have added are getting the above mentioned error messages.
This is the below message displaying in the console

3. Re: when I was checking the datasource through admin console I am getting the unknown error for the data source
wdfink Jun 26, 2012 4:32 AM (in response to hari309965)Nice one not easy to find.
Your module.xml is wrong.
Add the xmlns attribute
<module xmlns="urn:jboss:module:1.0" ...

4. Re: when I was checking the datasource through admin console I am getting the unknown error for the data source
wdfink Jun 26, 2012 4:36 AM (in response to hari309965)BTW where is your module.xml example from is it incorrect from here?

5. Re: when I was checking the datasource through admin console I am getting the unknown error for the data source
hari309965 Jun 26, 2012 5:54 AM (in response to wdfink)I corrected that now my module.xml file is look like this and it is present in the {jbossHomeDirector}/modules/net/sourceforge/jtds/main and I copied the jtds-1.2.5.jar file in main.
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<module xmlns="urn:jboss:domain:1.0" name="net.sourceforge.jtds">
<resources>
<resource-root path="jtds-1.2.5.jar"/>
</resources>
<dependencies>
<module name="javax.api"/>
<module name="javax.transaction.api"/>
</dependencies>
</module>As you mentioned in the above conversation I have checked with the default Datasource, at that moment I have observed that standalone.xml is looking for the module xmlns="urn:jboss:domain:1.0 but in the module.xml file it is showing module xmlns="urn:jboss:domain:1.1" that's it is not recognized earlier in that case I have deleted default ds and tried. Now using the same module.xml file But still I am getting the same error.
This is my standalone.xml

6. Re: when I was checking the datasource through admin console I am getting the unknown error for the data source
wdfink Jun 26, 2012 8:39 AM (in response to hari309965)1 of 1 people found this helpfulYour module must be wrong.
I take a fresh copy of 7.1.1.Final.
I add the module.xml to modules/net/sourceforge/jtds/main and download the driver here.
I add the driver to the standalone.xml
{code}
<drivers>
<driver name="jtds" module="net.sourceforge.jtds">
<driver-class>net.sourceforge.jtds.jdbc.Driver</driver-class>
</driver>
<driver name="h2" module="com.h2database.h2">
<xa-datasource-class>org.h2.jdbcx.JdbcDataSource</xa-datasource-class>
</driver>
</drivers>
{code}
After that you should see this loglines
INFO [org.jboss.as.connector.subsystems.datasources] (ServerService Thread Pool -- 27) JBAS010404: Deploying non-JDBC-compliant driver class net.sourceforge.jtds.jdbc.Driver (version 1.2)
INFO [org.jboss.as.connector.subsystems.datasources] (ServerService Thread Pool -- 27) JBAS010403: Deploying JDBC-compliant driver class org.h2.Driver (version 1.3)
Without that the datasource can not be created.
Could you check this?

7. Re: when I was checking the datasource through admin console I am getting the unknown error for the data source
hari309965 Jun 27, 2012 6:45 AM (in response to wdfink)When we are placing the driver jar file. It will automatically make the index file of the driver jar file which is present in the module/../.../main folder. Now the datasource are bound.
Thanks
